One of two buildings installed at Blinn College’s Bryan campus, this standard 6,272 square foot six classroom modular building was relocated and modified by taking five of the six classrooms and adding additional walls and doors to provide pooled office space for the college’s adjunct faculty. The remaining classroom was divided into four private offices and a conference and meeting room. The building exterior has a standard light stone R-panel metal siding with a thin brick veneer wainscot for the skirting, and an end wall façade designed to match the adjacent buildings. Articulated entries with ramps and canopies to match the existing campus structures were also built, along with connecting walkways to the other buildings on campus.

West ISD – Junior & High School

This temporary campus was part of the first phase of the Restore West ISD building program in the wake of the massive fertilizer plant explosion that destroyed the district’s middle and high schools. Manufactured and installed by Ramtech, the 69,776 square foot modular construction project included three 10-class – room buildings, four computer and science labs, two locker room buildings, an admin office, cafeteria, band hall, and a life skills building. The buildings were built with a 26 gauge R panel metal exterior, with interiors that incorporate vinyl covered gypsum walls and vinyl composition floor tiles. The $2.5 million project was leased through the Texas BuyBoard co-op purchasing network and was used for two years during the construction of a new intermediate/middle and high school.

Deweyville ISD

This temporary modular school campus was part of a FEMA funded project to provide interim space for the district’s elementary school which was destroyed during flooding in March of 2016. Manufactured and installed by Ramtech, the 31,744 square foot modular construction project included eight standard portable double classroom buildings, one eight classroom building, a multipurpose facility with administrative offices, library, reception area, conference room, and computer lab, and a full service commercial kitchen capable of accommodating 150 students. Each of the modular buildings utilize R-panel exterior siding and are interconnected with elevated covered walkways. Ramtech was awarded the project based on our experience working on other disaster recovery projects including West (TX) ISD.

First Baptist Church Frisco

With a rapidly growing congregation in Texas’ fastest-growing city, the First Baptist Church of Frisco required three new buildings to meet an expected demand of 1,100 new members. Ramtech installed a total of 23,386 square feet using relocatable modular buildings. The new facilities include a middle school student worship center with a 13 foot vaulted ceiling and 12 fellowship classrooms. The other two facilities include an adult education building with a fellowship area, and an administrative office complex with 14 private offices and an adjacent support area for the ministry staff. A HardiePanel exterior with a stucco finish was used to match the masonry finishes on the existing structures. Ramtech managed all of the site preparation including the extension and connection
of utilities, while also providing the canopies, steps, ramps, and landings for each building.

Hico ISD – Elementary Campus Expansion

As part of a district wide facility consolidation program that included closing an elementary school, Hico ISD needed to combine their prekindergarten and elementary school students into one building. Ramtech manufactured and installed an 8,064 square foot facility that was placed on a portion of the parking lot adjacent to the structures of the current junior high school.

The exterior matches the existing architecture and color scheme by utilizing a light stone R-panel exterior with red trim as well as a red metal roof and connecting canopy. The interior incorporates vinyl covered gypsum walls and vinyl composition tile flooring throughout the building. The building also utilizes REDD Team by Sapa’s aluminum access steps, ramps and landing system.

Aldine ISD – Cafeteria Building

Completed in under 90 days, Ramtech installed two relocatable cafeteria buildings at both Nimitz and MacArthur High Schools for use as interim facilities while the renovation of each school’s existing cafeterias took place. Aldine ISD used the four modular buildings for approximately one year then repeated the process at another high school while the renovation of its cafeteria took place. The interiors of the buildings were finished with VCG walls and an Armstrong Corlon heavy duty sheet vinyl on the floors to accommodate the high traffic use. Each featured a full commercial kitchen, space for four food serving lines, and ample seating in the dining areas. To make the project as cost-effective as possible, after the renovations were completed each of the cafeteria buildings were taken apart and reconfigured into double-wide portable classroom buildings.
