Ramtech was approached to assist with the design, manufacture, and installation of a 2,656 s.f. Hydrogen Sulfide testing lab. The permanent modular building was placed in a tight footprint between two taller existing structures which had windows that faced the testing lab, so a site-built parapet wall extending approximately two feet above the roof line was designed to screen the view of the extensive rooftop mechanical equipment. HCF Silhouette horizontal concealed fastener steel siding was site installed on the two side walls along with masonry veneer covering the front and rear of the building. To provide the most vertical interior space possible, the building was designed with a perimeter frame with columns to eliminate the need for deep trusses in the ceiling cavity.

Pollard Ford

Pollard Ford looked to expand their pre-owned car sales operation by developing a dealership in the expanding Lubbock, Texas market. Working together with Lee Lewis Construction, Ramtech designed and installed a 2,160 square foot modular complex using a pier and beam permanent modular construction approach. The facility features eight offices, a large customer waiting area, and an employee kitchen area and break room. The interior is finished with vinyl covered gypsum on the walls and vinyl composition tile flooring. The exterior features a parapet wall profile utilizing architectural metal siding, with storefront glass doors and exterior windows and sidelights at the entrance and manager’s office. The heating and cooling of the facility is accommodated with a rooftop HVAC unit.

Payne Auto Group

When Weslaco, Texas-based Payne Automotive Group wanted to expand their preowned dealership division into multiple South Texas locations, they turned to Ramtech to construct permanent facilities that would quickly accommodate their operations. The facilities feature seven offices around the perimeter of the building with 4’0 x 6’0 windows for easy viewing between rooms, a large customer waiting and reception area, and an employee breakroom. The exteriors feature a parapet wall design with a combination of HardiePanel and 26-gauge high-rib steel R-Panel siding. The interiors are finished with VCG on the walls and Allure resilient laminate wood plank flooring. Heating and cooling are accommodated with a split system at one location and wall-mounted package units at the other.

Aquamarine Pools

When Aquamarine pools wanted to expand their operations and add another retail location in the DFW Metroplex, they turned to Ramtech to construct a 1,680 s.f. permanent facility that would quickly accommodate their showroom and office space needs. The facility features four offices around the perimeter of the building, a central showroom with seated sales areas and adjacent breakroom, restrooms, and a large storage area. The exterior siding features a combination of 26-gauge high-rib steel R-Panel, with faux stone along with multiple decorative concrete and stone patterns used as a display for pool deck options at the main entry. The interior is finished with VCG on the walls and vinyl tile flooring. Heating and cooling are accommodated with two wall-mounted package units.

Northwest Florida Beaches Airport

When the Panama City-Bay County Airport and Industrial District needed to increase their existing terminal space to relieve the crowded conditions that existed at two of their seven gates, they selected Ramtech to construct a 7,168 sf. Type II-b all steel permanent modular building to meet the requirement. Ramtech worked as a subcontractor to Allstate Construction of Tallahassee, Florida, providing the core and shell manufacturing of the modular sections, the installation of the building, and the finish-out of the exterior. The modular sections included the exterior walls with 24-gauge steel high-rib R-Panel siding, all door and window assemblies, interior walls with un-finished gypsum board and required shear walls, perimeter steel frame floor, and the EPDM roof assembly.

Motorola – Office Facility

The second of two facilities developed for Motorola in Scottsdale, AZ, this 60,000 square foot two-story light manufacturing facility was developed under an expedited contract to meet an emergency requirement of the federal government prior to the start of the first Gulf War. Developed as a Type II noncombustible structure with steel clear-span construction, the facility utilizes high-strength flooring to accommodate fork-lift traffic for light-manufacturing while also providing for open office and engineering space. A stucco exterior with spandrel windows was incorporated to match the architectural features of the surround – ing area, and extensive interior accommodations were designed to facilitate the installation of several miles of equipment and communications wiring.

Waste Management CNG

Ramtech constructed this 9,016 square foot office using our pier and beam permanent modular construction method. Waste Management moved their offices to this location to upgrade their facilities and provide for natural gas refueling stations for their waste collection trucks. The type V-B facility includes an open office area for the clerical and dispatch staff and supervisory personnel, training and crew room, locker room, a secure office area with conference room, and a full kitchen and break room. The exterior uses an EIFS siding and includes metal canopies over the exterior concrete steps and ramps. The inside is finished with texture painted walls and ceramic tile flooring with carpet tile in the office areas. Heating and cooling of the building is accommodated with a rooftop HVAC packaged unit.

Waste Management Scale House

Ramtech constructed this 952 square foot scale house using the company’s Pier and Beam Permanent Modular Construction method. The 14×68 building is situated at the entrance to Waste Management’s DFW Landfill Management disposal location in Lewisville, Texas and is elevated on concrete piers to sit at the same level as the weigh scales on both sides of the structure. The type V-B facility features a large office with teller payment windows on either side, a records room, and a full function employee kitchen and break room. The exterior of the building is full brick masonry, while the interior features texture painted walls and a Gyp-Crete underlayment with ceramic tile flooring. Heating and cooling of the building is accommodated with a Lennox split system HVAC unit.

Waste Management Break Room

When Waste Management demolished their existing office and breakroom at their Lewisville landfill location they contracted with Ramtech to build a new breakroom and office facility using our Pier and Beam Permanent Modular Construction process. The 1,904 square foot facility provides room for a large breakroom that accommodates kitchen space and vending machines, men’s and women’s locker rooms with shower stalls, and private office space. The building sits on a grade beam foundation designed to provide a grade level appearance with a full masonry exterior. The interior is finished out with textured and painted walls and uses ceramic tile flooring in the common areas and carpet tiles in the offices. The company plans to keep the building in use after the landfill closes.
